RRD is hiring for a 1st shift press operator in Wisconsin. You will set up, adjust, operate, and maintain gravure or multi-color offset presses to print one or more colors with tight color values and precise registration.

Responsibilities include making-ready tasks, plate handling, alignment checks, color corrections, and routine press maintenance. Eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

• Requires comprehensive knowledge of press techniques, safety requirements, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain a gravure press or multi-color offset press to print single-, two-, and multi-color work with critical color values and registration.
• Review job specifications to determine press setup according to imposition of the run.
• Perform make-ready tasks such as hanging plates or installing cylinders, inspect plates/cylinders for defects, and prepare blankets.
• Make necessary color corrections and press adjustments to meet quality specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, performing minor repairs and replacements as needed.
• Perform periodic maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.
