Job summary

RRD is seeking an experienced offset press operator for the 2nd shift in Indiana. You will set up and run single or multi-color presses, perform make-ready tasks, and ensure color accuracy to meet the required quality specifications.

Responsibilities include maintaining the press, performing routine maintenance, and applying color corrections as needed. Overtime and shift differential are available, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must understand offset printing procedures, materials, equipment and safety requirements.
• Read and interpret job specifications to determine press setup materials.
• Know press capabilities to choose adjustments for efficient operation.
• Know packing pressure to achieve proper printing pressure.
• Skilled with micrometer to mount and align printing plates.
• Experience with routine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Able to adjust feeder and feed board (suction, guides, timing).

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain single or multi-color offset press.
• Perform make-ready tasks: hang plates, install cylinders, inspect plates, adjust tension and register.
• Make color corrections and press adjustments to meet quality specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press; replace worn parts as needed.
• Perform periodic maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.
