Job Description And Duties

DSH-Metropolitan is accepting applications for Office Technician (Typing) Permanent/Fulltime. Working Title : Office Technician (Typing) - Medical Services. Under general supervision of the Supervising Registered Nurse and the direct supervision of the Office Services Supervisor II in Medical Services, performs a variety of general office work, receives and screens telephone calls and visitors, exercises considerable judgment in providing factual information in response to numerous inquiries, maintains confidential and administrative files, and prepares summaries of data pertinent to the work of the Supervisor or office.

• tabulate audit data for Chief Physician & Surgeon, Supervising Registered Nurse, and Office Services Supervisor II
• update Medical Services manuals and Nursing Policies binders
• act as back-up Office Assistant for scheduling and billing
• maintain office equipment
• order office supplies for the department
