Kansas State University is seeking an Office Specialist III to support TRIO Educational Supportive Services. This on-site position handles departmental recordkeeping and accounting for the Director and staff for federal and state funded programs.
The role requires two years of related experience plus a college degree or equivalent office experience, with strong MS Office and university systems knowledge (KSIS, Navigate, Concur). Budgeting, reporting, and data analysis are key parts of the job.
This position serves as the departmental recordkeeping and accounting specialist for the Director and staff of TRIO Educational Supportive Services which is a federal and state funded program that provides tutoring, academic, career, and financial services for first generation, low income, and students with a documented disability. Federal regulations require that extensive records be maintained on all accepted student participants.
Since 1972, TRIO ESS has focused on student success by providing comprehensive support for students that are 1st generation, income limited, and/or have a documented disability. TRIO ESS accepts 300 students each year, offering 1-1 services that help participants maintain a good GPA, persist year-to-year, and graduate on time.
This position is On-site. 5 days per week. All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.
