Responsibilities

• Navigate the specialist care pathway by managing the end-to-end referral process, ensuring patients are seamlessly transitioned to the right experts and diagnostic testing.
• Secure vital care authorizations by proactively coordinating with insurance providers to obtain approvals, preventing out-of-network costs and ensuring compliance.
• Bridge the gap between providers by facilitating the swift transfer of medical records and clinical data, ensuring specialists have the context they need for high-quality treatment.
• Ensure clinical and administrative accuracy by applying your knowledge of medical terminology and procedural codes to eliminate errors in scheduling and billing.

Requirements

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Additional Preferences

• Technical Coding Knowledge: A foundational understanding of medical terminology, CPT, and ICD-10 codes is essential for processing diagnostic and specialist requests.
• Insurance Authorization Expertise: Proven experience navigating the specific requirements of insurance carriers to secure pre-authorizations and verify network status.
