Ascension is seeking a finance leader to oversee month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and capital project ROI. This role will partner with department heads to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and drive strategic initiatives within the Indianapolis area.

A strong healthcare finance background and leadership experience are essential for success in this position. You will lead budgeting and forecasting processes, model robust business cases, and ensure fiscal discipline while supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of healthcare financial experience.
• 3+ years in leadership/management roles.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Lead the comprehensive month-end close review, ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
• Evaluate and model robust business cases for new ventures and growth opportunities.
• Drive the execution of key strategic financial initiatives to support organizational objectives.
• Oversee comprehensive budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure fiscal discipline.
• Lead large capital project management, partnering with department heads to provide financial insights, ensure budget compliance, and optimize ROI.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.

Additional Preferences

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA expected.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible financial experience within a healthcare setting.
• Proven track record of at least 3 years in a leadership or management capacity.
