Job summary

Ascension Cardiology in Indianapolis is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join an established team in a consultative inpatient cardiology role. You will manage patient care autonomously across the continuum, from progressive care to high-acuity critical care settings, within a busy hospital environment.

The ideal candidate is Board Certified or Board Eligible in Advanced Practice Provider, with Indiana NP licensure and DEA registration eligibility.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer date.
• Nurse Practitioner prescriptive authority credentialed from Indiana Board of Nursing within 6 months.
• NP credential from IN BON/ANCC/NCC within 6 months.
• RN credentials from ANCC or IN BON prior to hire date.
• Masters Degree of Nursing required.
• 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care autonomously across the continuum, from Progressive Care Unit to high-acuity Critical Care settings.
• Work in various hospital areas, including critical care, as a consultative cardiology service.
• Inpatient Cardiology Hospitalist focus with no formal call schedule.

• Practice setting: this is a consultative service only; volume varies but must be prepared to work in various areas of the hospital including critical care

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Practitioner specializing in Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required:
• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the National Certification Corporation (NCC) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Masters Degree of Nursing required.

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience preferred.
