Agape Design in Signal Mountain, Tennessee, is seeking an organized Office Manager & Bookkeeper to oversee day-to-day operations for our architecture and interior design firm, cabinetry company, and a small rental property business.
You will manage QuickBooks Online, invoicing, project files, leases, and supplier coordination, while maintaining orderly office systems and clear communications with clients and tenants.
We are looking for a highly organized, trustworthy, and proactive Office Manager & Bookkeeper to help manage the day‑to‑day operations of a growing architecture and interior design firm and cabinetry company, along with the administrative needs of a small rental property business.
This is a varied role for someone who enjoys being the person who keeps things organized and moving. You may spend part of your day working in QuickBooks, then prepare a client agreement, organize project information, coordinate a rental property repair, help track a cabinetry order, or take care of something around the office.
We are a small‑business environment, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable wearing different hats and doesn't need every task spelled out for them. The ideal person notices what needs attention, takes initiative, solves problems, and follows things through to completion.
Because this position will have access to financial records, client information, employee information, leases, and other sensitive business information, trustworthiness and discretion are extremely important.
You do not need to be a CPA or accountant. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with day‑to‑day bookkeeping and is willing and able to learn.
More than anything, we are looking for someone who is dependable, trustworthy, organized, and proactive.
You may be a great fit if you:
Experience in architecture, interior design, construction, cabinetry, property management, or another project‑based business is a plus, but not required.
We are open to hiring the right person on either a part‑time or full‑time basis.
This position will initially be primarily in‑office on Signal Mountain while you learn our businesses, systems, clients, and processes.
Once fully trained and able to work independently, there may be an opportunity to work from home 1--2 days per week, depending on the needs of the office and your responsibilities.
Pay: $23--$26 per hour, depending on experience
Employment: W-2 employee
For full‑time employees, benefits include:
Our primary businesses are a growing architecture and interior design firm and cabinetry company serving residential and commercial clients in the Chattanooga area. This position will work closely with the owner and team and will play an important role in keeping both companies organized and operating efficiently.
There is an opportunity for this role to grow as the businesses continue to grow.
We're looking for someone who doesn't just want to complete a list of tasks---we want someone who takes pride in helping a business run well, enjoys creating order, and wants to become a trusted and valued part of our team.
