Job summary

Job description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains ban appeal file and coordinates hearing schedules
  • Types all letters and memos to various departments and licensees, including complaints, suspension, revocation and reinstatement letters
  • Types up all ban correspondence
  • Maintains suspension correspondence and coordinates hearing schedules
  • Type approval letters to Human Resources
  • Records minutes of formal Commission meetings: including weekly or special meetings
  • Organizes all license files
  • Files all necessary documents in a timely manner
  • Maintains adequate supply of routine forms
  • Figures Gaming Commission Employees time cards
  • Facilitate and supervise office equipment purchases and ensure bid process is in accordance with governing policy
  • Oversee maintenance of all office equipment
  • Maintains records on employee licensing in MemberTies Software
  • Conduct background applications at Unisource Screening for the background investigations
  • Type and mail letters to the National Indian Gaming Commission regarding all licensees eligible for a license, licenses that were revoked and applicants that were denied.
  • Observe all Commission policies and procedures
  • Safeguard confidentiality of Commission activities, communications and records at all time
  • Must conduct all Commission business professionally and with respect for all fiduciary responsibilities held on behalf of the Sac & Fox Tribe
  • Must avoid even the appearance of impropriety, conflicts of interest, favoritism, and other negative attitudes, on and off the job
  • Supervise Gaming Commission Receptionist
  • Must possess knowledge of access card system
  • Assists with vendor
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 2 years of administrative experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Knowledge and proficient in Microsoft Office software: word-processing, spreadsheet, Internet and email
  • Knowledge of human resources management practices and procedures
  • Strong organizational and customer relation skills
  • Must possess valid driver's license
  • Must be able to pass an extensive background investigation

SUPERVISION:

  • Sac and Fox Gaming Commissioners
