Thales Academy Pittsboro Elementary is accepting resumes for an Office Manager. This is an immediate opening.

The mission of Thales Academy is to provide an excellent and affordable education for students in Pre-K to 12th grades through the use of Direct Instruction (K-5) and a Classical Curriculum (6-12) that embodies traditional values.

Responsibilities Include
  • Provide secretarial and clerical support to the Head of School and staff, including recordkeeping, correspondence, and mail distribution.
  • Serve as a point of contact for students, staff, parents, and visitors, answering inquiries about school activities, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate office activities, manage schedules, arrange for substitutes, and maintain relationships with vendors for after-school clubs, lunch vendors, payroll, and office/building maintenance.
  • Maintain student medical records, provide basic medical care, and disburse medications as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of materials and information.
  • Report directly to the school's principal.
  • Assist in tasks such as monitoring attendance, predicting enrollment, and coordinating events.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred.
  • Experience in an office or administrative role is preferred.
  • Proficiency with technological platforms like Google/G-Suite, Mac OS X, Canvas, OnRecord.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities.

Salary: Based on experience and qualifications.
