Job summary

Transdev North America in Bel Air, MD seeks an Experienced Office Manager to perform administrative and financial reporting duties, including payroll, HR, accounts payable/receivable, and data entry in the fleet MIS system. This on-site position emphasizes customer service and safety.

Responsibilities include payroll, benefits coordination, records management, and overtime tracking, with a strong focus on accuracy and confidentiality. DOT compliance applies where noted.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of professional experience with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work.
  • DOT drug testing compliance and related requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clerical and administrative duties to meet contractual mandates.
  • Input and extract data from fleet MIS system.
  • Respond to payroll, personnel records, and employee questions by phone and email.
  • Manage staff payroll and leaves, including FMLA and Workers’ Comp tracking.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information and records.
  • Coordinate contract-level employee benefits and changes.
  • Prepare hourly employee profiles and change forms; handle terminations.
  • Reconcile vacation and sick leave accruals and usage.
  • Assist General Manager with overtime tracking to minimize extra punch hours.
  • Handle special projects and additional duties as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs clerical and administrative duties to ensure all contractual mandates are met.
  • Inputs and extracts data from fleet MIS system
  • Provide support by responding to questions and concerns regarding payroll, personnel records, and employee profiles, to include answering telephone and company email correspondence.
  • Manage staff payroll and leaves of absence, including employee FMLA & Workers Comp tracking.
  • Maintain personal data, confidentiality of sensitive employee information and records.
  • Coordinates employee benefits at contract level
  • Prepares and submits all hourly employee profiles and employee change forms, to include new hire, hourly rate changes, and terminations.
  • Performs reconciliation of hourly employee vacation and sick leave accrual and usage.
  • Assist General Manager in accurately tracking overtime to reduce and eliminate unnecessary and/or additional punch hours.
  • Special administrative projects and additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent oral, verbal, written and people skills with the ability to interact with employees of all levels.
  • Problem solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to input data with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements
  • Performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms and repetitive hand- wrist-eye and finger motion, and extensive computer work. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time. Limited light lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, and reaching required.
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day)
