Job summary

The Simplot Company in Palm Desert, CA is seeking a customer service associate for a fast-paced shop environment. You will handle high volumes of inbound calls and walk-in customers, operate the cash register, and process delivery tickets for warehouse.

Candidates should be comfortable multitasking, adapting to frequent changes, and performing accurately under pressure. A high school diploma and 3+ years related experience, bilingual English/Spanish a plus, and proficiency with standard office

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; combination of education, training and/or experience will be considered.
• 3+ years related experience and/or training.
• Background in Turf and Horticulture is a plus.
• Bilingual in English & Spanish is a plus.
• Proficiency with computer systems and standard office technology.
• Strong organizational abilities with effective written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Prior experience in an office setting.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Prior experience using a multi-line phone system highly preferred.
• Prior experience handling cash and register operations highly preferred.

Summary

This is a fast-paced, customer-facing role in a shop-style environment. The position invoves heavy inbound phone and email volume, freqyent cash register transactions, and daily walk-in customers. Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• Must be willing and able to travel as required
• Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills
• Must possess basic mathematical skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rations and percentages.
