The Office Coordinator assists with core church office functions to ensure smooth, efficient daily operations and a hospitable environment for members, guests, and visitors. Reporting to the Lead Pastor and working collaboratively with church staff and ministry volunteers, this role serves as a key administrative and welcoming presence in the church office.
Hospitality & Office Welcome: Greet members, guests, and visitors with warmth and care; answer and route incoming calls; respond to general inquiries; and represent St. Matthew's positively.
Publications & Communications: Draft, edit, and format publication materials, weekly worship bulletins, slide decks, flyers, and letters; review event announcements; and coordinate mass mailings and regular digital updates.
Office Coordination & Clerical Care: Process incoming/outgoing mail, order and organize office supplies, manage records and databases, monitor office equipment, and handle occasional local errands.
Team Collaboration: Serve as cross-coverage for the other Office Coordinator, assist with special administrative projects as needed, and uphold strict member and institutional confidentiality.
High school diploma or equivalent required; 2+ years of administrative or general office experience preferred.
Warm, cooperative, and welcoming interpersonal demeanor.
Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Word) and ease learning new database/parish software.
Strong organizational habits, proactive follow-through, and attentiveness to detail.
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and skills.
Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays prorated for part-time status.
