Job summary

Garner Cleaning Service in Southern Illinois is hiring a Cleaning Technician I to perform general cleaning across client sites, including trash removal, dusting, restrooms, offices, floors, windows, and related duties. A reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license are required; a criminal background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Candidates should be self‑motivated, able to work independently and lead others on job sites.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning: trash removal, dusting, restrooms, break rooms, offices and conference rooms.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum floors and clean windows; perform other duties as assigned.
• Follow client specifications that may vary by location.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

Transportation: Successful candidates must have a reliable vehicle or transportation to get to job sites. Applicants must also have a valid driver's license.

Background Check: Due to requirements of our clients, the successful candidate must pass a criminal background check.

Experience: Candidates with prior cleaning experience will be prioritized over those with no experience.

Requirements of Job:

• The successful candidate will be someone who is self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal direct supervision, able to lead others on job sites, solve problems, and create successful outcomes.
• The tasks required include general cleaning, including, but not limited to trash removal; dusting; cleaning restrooms, break rooms, offices, and conference rooms; sweeping and mopping floors; vacuuming floors; window washing; and other duties as assigned.
• Specific duties may vary depending on the List of Specifications required by the client at each location.

Path to Promotion:

Cleaning Technician I → Cleaning Technician II → Senior Cleaning Technician → Supervisor → Manager

Benefits:

Paid Time Off: After 90 days, earn 1 hour for every 40 hours worked.

Training:

Garner Cleaning Service will train the employee on the proper guidelines, procedures, and use of chemicals and equipment during initial training and on an ongoing basis. Employees are expected to follow these guidelines and procedures as outlined.
