Job description

Background Check: Due to requirements of our clients, the successful candidate must pass a criminal background check.

Experience: Candidates with prior cleaning experience will be prioritized over those with no experience.

Garner Cleaning Service has been servicing Southern Illinois since 1996. We are a family‑owned business with 25 team members.

The successful candidate will be self‑motivated, able to work independently without direct supervision, able to lead others on job sites, and capable of solving problems and creating successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

The tasks required include:

• General cleaning, including trash removal, dusting, cleaning restrooms, break rooms, offices, conference rooms.
• Sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming floors.
• Window washing.
• Other duties as assigned; specific duties may vary depending on the list of specifications required by the client at each location.

Compensation: $15.00 to $18.00 per hour.

Path to Promotion

• Level 2 cleaning specialist → Field Supervisor → Area Manager.

Benefits

• Paid Time Off: After 90 days, earn 1 hour per 40 hours worked, up to 40 hours per year.

Training

Garner Cleaning Service will train the employee on proper guidelines, procedures, and proper use of chemicals and equipment during initial training and on an ongoing basis. Employees are expected to follow these guidelines and procedures as outlined.

Other Requirements

• Car: Successful candidates must have a reliable vehicle to get to job sites.
• Valid driver’s license.
