Job summary

Garner Cleaning Service in Southern Illinois is seeking a dedicated cleaning technician to join our family-owned team. The role emphasizes self-motivation, independence, and the ability to lead others on job sites while solving problems and achieving reliable outcomes.

Responsibilities include general cleaning tasks across offices and break rooms, trash removal, dusting, restroom and floor care, window washing, and adapting to client-specific specifications.

Qualifications

• Must have reliable vehicle or transportation to job sites.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Prior cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning including trash removal, dusting, cleaning restrooms, break rooms, offices and conference rooms.
• Sweeping and mopping floors and vacuuming.
• Window washing and other duties as assigned.
• Duties may vary depending on client specifications.

Minimum Hiring Requirements

• Transportation: Successful candidates must have a reliable vehicle or transportation to get to job sites. Applicants must also have a valid driver's license.
• Background Check: Due to requirements of our clients, the successful candidate must pass a criminal background check.
• Experience: Candidates with prior cleaning experience will be prioritized over those with no experience.

Requirements of Job

• The successful candidate will be someone who is self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal direct supervision, able to lead others on job sites, solve problems, and create successful outcomes.
• The tasks required include general cleaning, including, but not limited to trash removal; dusting; cleaning restrooms, break rooms, offices, and conference rooms; sweeping and mopping floors; vacuuming floors; window washing; and other duties as assigned.
• Specific duties may vary depending on the List of Specifications required by the client at each location.

Path to Promotion

Cleaning Technician I → Cleaning Technician II → Senior Cleaning Technician → Supervisor → Manager

Benefits

Paid Time Off: After 90 days, earn 1 hour for every 40 hours worked.

Training: Garner Cleaning Service will train the employee on the proper guidelines, procedures, and use of chemicals and equipment during initial training and on an ongoing basis. Employees are expected to follow these guidelines and procedures as outlined.
