Global Partners LP is seeking a Commodity & Freight Payable Specialist to manage accounts payable for the Trading and Marketing unit in Newton, MA. You will reconcile invoices, resolve discrepancies, and collaborate with vendors to ensure prompt payment in a fast-paced, controlled environment.

The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and system-driven processes, with a focus on maintaining a paperless AP workflow and adherence to SOX controls.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; high school required.
• At least 1 year accounting experience or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word is required.
• Ability to learn new software and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• SOX policies and procedures familiarity is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Process payable matching between system transactions and third-party documents.
• Monitor tolerance write-off activity for reasonableness.
• Timely resolution of discrepancies during reconciliation.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to obtain credit and rebills.
• Ensure automated activity processes successfully and resolve issues.
• Maintain paperless accounts payable file system.
• Comply with SOX policies and procedures.
