Job summary

Walbec Group in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a Claims Specialist 1 to handle Owned Property, Equipment, and Builder’s Risk claims across multiple jurisdictions. Under the direction of the Claims Manager, you will investigate, document, and resolve claims with timely communication to Safety, Project Managers, and field personnel.

This in-office role requires strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, proficiency with MS Office, and experience with RMIS Origami.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Preferred: property, equipment, Builder’s Risk, or multi-line claims exposure.
• Strong knowledge of insurance coverage, reserving, damages evaluation, and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Investigates Owned Property, Equipment, Builder’s Risk and other claims of simple to moderate complexity.
• Conducts thorough claim and incident investigations and documents findings.
• Communicates with Safety, Project Managers, field personnel, and internal departments to obtain information.
• Maintains complete claim files and enters data into the RMIS Origami.
• Establishes reserves in line with the organization’s philosophy and methodology.
• Reviews policies, deductibles, coverage provisions, and project documentation for accuracy.
