The Department of Marine Resources, Bureau of Marine Science, is looking for a dependable, organized Office Associate II to keep our West Boothbay lab running. This position is part of an administrative team that supports a busy, passionate group of science and laboratory staff. The work of this position is critical to supporting the mission of the Bureau. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, proven dependability, and a commitment to supporting team success through excellent communications and a collaborative mindset. This position’s ability to adapt and prioritize in a dynamic environment ensures that the administrative side runs smoothly and efficiently.

Training, education, or experience in office and administrative support work that demonstrates 1) competency in applying a solid knowledge of modern office practices to perform complex, varied office support tasks, and 2) the ability to use independent decision-making on the appropriate processes to follow, information to process, and actions to take in accordance with standard procedures. All positions in this classification assume the qualifications of: Office Assistant I, Office Assistant II, and Office Associate I.
