Job summary

Oakland University is seeking a full-time Office Coordinator within a complex program area to handle processing, advising, and reporting tasks. The role offers a flexible schedule with up to two days of work from home per week.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of progressively responsible office experience, plus strong written and verbal communication, grammar, and keyboarding skills. Interactions with students, faculty and staff are routine.

Qualifications

  • High school graduation or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four years progressively responsible office experience, including direct experience in office coordination, i.e., prioritizing work assignments, maintaining work flow to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to compose correspondence.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Ability to effectively interact with the public, students, faculty and staff.
  • Knowledge of proper grammar, spelling and punctuation and ability to utilize proper standard office source manuals.
  • Possess the keyboarding skills necessary to perform successfully in this position.
  • Ability to perform the functions consistent with intermediate word processing and intermediate spreadsheet applications as demonstrated by a skills assessment.
