Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and oversee the team supporting the graduate student lifecycle from application through graduation.
  • Serve as a liaison among the Graduate School, students and programs; monitor progress.
  • Interpret policy and ensure compliance; provide professional resources for academic programs.
  • Support graduate education events, including evenings and weekends when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Two years’ experience working in a higher education administrative office.
  • Experience and skill with staff training and supervision.
  • Experience and skill with event planning and coordination.
  • Experience working in a student information system.
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team setting.

Position Purpose

The Graduate Student Services Coordinator supervises and oversees the team that supports the graduate student lifecycle from application through graduation, and will have overall responsibility for the programs and students assigned to their subteam. These responsibilities include serving as a liaison among the Graduate School, students and programs; monitoring students’ progress; assist in interpreting policy and ensuring compliance; and serving as a professional resource for academic programs.
