Job summary

Oakland University seeks a full-time Golf Course Maintenance employee to care for the golf course surfaces and surrounding landscapes. A valid driver’s license and willingness to work weekends/holidays are required. Michigan pesticide applications certification is preferred for eligible candidates.

Under supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent, you will perform routine maintenance, operate equipment, and help maintain high-quality turf and campus grounds for events.

Qualifications

High school graduation or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Less than one (1) year of golf course maintenance experience.
Must have completed less than nine (9) academic hours in landscape technology or a directly related field.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the University by the University’s insurance carrier.
Must be willing to work weekends and holidays during the season.
State of Michigan pesticide applications certification.
