Summary

The Family and Children’s Division of the Forsyth County Department of Social Services is seeking a highly motivated and dependable Office Assistant to provide essential administrative and operational support to Division staff. This is an in-person position that serves as a key point of contact for clients, community partners, and internal staff, requiring professionalism, strong customer service skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Examples of duties

The Office Assistant position within the Child Welfare Division provides critical administrative and operational support necessary for the effective delivery of mandated child protective services.

This position includes routine retrieval of files for scanning and electronic filing, which requires the ability to push, pull, stoop, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds. The role also involves retrieving and stocking office supplies, including copier paper, on a regular basis.

Additionally, this position requires prolonged periods of sitting while performing computer based tasks, answering phones, and completing administrative duties.

Qualifications
