The Office Assistant is responsible for accurately collecting and maintaining patient demographic, insurance, and reimbursement information within AnMed’s electronic documentation systems to support timely registration and efficient billing processes for AnMed Therapy-Pediatrics. This role assists with referral management and fosters positive working relationships with referring providers and agencies.
The Office Assistant supports daily clinic operations by coordinating administrative workflows, maintaining necessary office supplies, and ensuring smooth front-office functions. The position requires effective communication with patients, families, staff, and the public while demonstrating professionalism, adaptability, a positive attitude, and a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and proficiency with computer systems. The Office Assistant must maintain a thorough understanding of insurance authorization, precertification, and reauthorization requirements, as well as current payer policies related to therapy service coverage, to help ensure compliance and continuity of care.
