The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets seeks a detail-oriented Office Assistant 1 for a temporary position within the Division of Fiscal Management, based at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, NY. The assistant will support the team in preparation for the 2026 Great New York State Fair, managing essential administrative tasks including:
This part-time, hourly role offers approximately 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday starting May 1, 2026, through September 18, 2026, with increased hours from August 1 through September 18 and potential weekends. The position is located at 581 State Fair Boulevard and is represented by CSEA, offering a competitive pay rate of $17.35 per hour. Note, you must be available from May 1, 2026, through September 18, 2026.
