Responsibilities
- Answer and direct phone calls; take messages as appropriate
- Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate person
- Prepare outgoing faxes and distribute incoming faxes
- Photocopy a broad range of materials
- Schedule meetings and appointments
- Type routine correspondence and prepare files as assigned
- Maintain and order inventory of office supplies
- Assist in new hire set-up process for office or program
- Maintain and ensure HIPAA, ethical standards, and professional boundaries with all staff and clients
- Assist with billing to clients or Medi-Cal and Medi-Care
- Research and prepare special projects as assigned. Recommends changes to internal office procedures and workflow
- Assist supervisor or management in the development of the work unit’s annual budget, contracts, and monitoring adherence to such on a monthly basis
- Attend meetings and/or trainings to take notes or minutes
- Handle or assist with small office moves (office furniture)
- Other duties as assigned or necessary to support the program, office, and/or the company
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with computer or business courses
- One year of work experience, preferably in an office setting providing general clerical support
- Excellent phone manner, good arithmetic skills, and strong spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills
- Intermediate level PC skills required
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, computer, and communication skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $21.00 - $22.00/hour
