About The Position

Baker Marketing Laboratory is an award-winning digital marketing agency in Knoxville, TN that helps build unique narratives for clients in the healthcare industry.

As the Office Administrator, you will work to ensure the seamless, timely, and thoughtful management of the office environment, business operations, and key leadership projects. This could include day-to-day management of key HR, finance, or office functions as well as providing leadership and experience in improving our business. Your work will help us grow and have an impact beyond what we have experienced before.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, be highly motivated, able to work under pressure, and manage many details well.

Project management, time management, and leadership skills are required. The candidate should also enjoy high levels of responsibility, autonomy, and should show an ability for creativity and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities
  • Managing day-to-day finance operations: including AR management + invoicing, AP management, contract preparation, expensing, and other necessary functions
  • Managing key finance initiatives, supporting monthly reporting, and providing insights into monthly financials to help senior management make informed decisions
  • Managing day-to-day HR operations: including benefits management, PTO management, reviews system management, birthday and anniversary recognition, holiday gifting, and other necessary functions
  • Speak into and help shape company culture and values
  • Coordinating, researching, and supporting team training initiatives
  • Manage all internal team events: Staff Retreats and outings, monthly lunches, happy hours, and other internal events
  • Guiding HR initiatives, providing feedback into current best practices, and leading culture + people operations forward
  • Leadership in streamlining and improving the efficiency/effectiveness of administrative operations
  • Communicating with and supporting business partners: CPA, bookkeeper, HR consultant
  • Supporting high levels of customer service, responsiveness, and craftsmanship for our clients
  • Supporting business functions and managing resources to meet the company objectives
Benefits

This is a full-time position reporting directly to senior leadership. Our office is located in historic North Knoxville, and team members may work from it, or remotely up to three days a week along with other great benefits including paid time off, company-matched 401K retirement plans, healthcare benefits, gym membership, and continuing education opportunities.
