Job summary

Commercial Metals in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking an Accounts Payable professional to join our team. You will manage scrap and freight payments, maintain vendor accounts, and analyze payment issues while ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

This role emphasizes collaboration with Marketing and other departments to improve efficiency and service. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in accounts payable, strong Excel/SAP experience, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to take direction and complete tasks with minimum supervision.
• Driven individual with honesty and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Pay Scrap and Freight accounts per approved payment terms.
• Maintain assigned account details.
• Analyze and resolve scale issues.
• Work closely with marketing to ensure accuracy of supplier payments.
• Active participation in department improvements to increase efficiency.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Assist with any additional projects assigned by Accounting Manager.
