Job summary

Commercial Metals Company (CMC) is seeking an Accounts Payable professional in Lexington, SC. You will manage payables, maintain supplier accounts, and analyze payment data while collaborating with marketing and operations to ensure accurate payments.

The role requires at least 2 years in AP, strong Excel and SAP abilities, and clear written and verbal communication. A proactive, detail‑oriented approach and the ability to work with minimum supervision are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related field.
• Extensive knowledge in Excel; SAP experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to take direction and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Pay Scrap and Freight accounts per approved payment terms.
• Maintain assigned account details.
• Analyze and resolve scale issues.
• Work closely with marketing to ensure accuracy of supplier payments.
• Active participation in department improvements to increase efficiency.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Assist with any additional projects assigned by Accounting Manager.
