Minnesota Department of Commerce seeks an Office & Admin Specialist Intermediate to coordinate front-office operations at the Burnsville location. You will handle public inquiries, route communications, process mail/payments, and support division leadership and inspectors.
The role requires strong customer service, clear written communication, data entry, and proficiency with Word processing and Excel. This on-site position follows a day shift with standard Monday–Friday hours.

The Weights & Measures Division is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of commercial weighing and measuring devices throughout Minnesota, monitoring fuel quality, and providing precision measurement services to businesses across the state. The primary work location for the position is at the Weights & Measures Division Office in Burnsville, Minnesota.
This position serves as the primary administrative coordination point for the division and provides direct support to the Division Director, management team, inspectors, and the public. The individual in this role is responsible for managing the Division's front office operations and ensuring efficient communication between the public, regulated businesses, and Division staff.
The position also assists with maintaining records and tracking program information across multiple internal systems. In addition, the position participates in and supports the Division's safety program.
Requires occasional moving of articles such as boxes, accounting records, laptop computer, and portable printer.
