Job Summary

Hybrid work schedule available, up to 50% telework depending on business needs. Telework can be outside of the state of Minnesota if the candidate lives in a state bordering Minnesota and lives 50 miles or less from the primary work location. Primary work location will be the Golden Rule Building in St. Paul.

This position provides advanced administrative and operational support to the Deputy Commissioner and the Banking and Credit Union Regulatory Programs. The position is responsible for coordinating critical administrative processes that support the division's regulatory and supervisory functions, including:

  • Processing and invoicing examination reports,
  • Administering bank, trust, and credit union applications and approval requests, and
  • Supporting the bank and trust examiner training program.

In addition, the position serves as the primary point of contact for the depository phone line, coordinates travel authorization requests, maintains and indexes regulatory correspondence and records within internal databases, and ensures timely and accurate execution of a variety of administrative functions essential to the division's operations and customer service.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Customer Service skills (phone, electronic, and written correspondence) sufficient to provide courteous, effective service to clients/customers.
  • Explain the reasons for transactions and procedures, rules, and regulations so that others understand the information they are being given.
  • Data Entry skills sufficient to add, maintain, and retrieve information from databases.
  • Word processing sufficient to use software (including AI-enabled tools) to create, format, edit, print, and save a variety of documents, including letters, reports, and templates.
  • Basic accounting procedures sufficient to prepare itemized statements, bills or invoices, and record amounts due for services rendered.
  • Apply accurate spelling and grammar in written and electronic communication.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience coordinating administrative support for a regulatory or compliance program.
  • Experience working with and/or using program tracking or other regulatory database to monitor requests or program activity.
Physical Requirements

Requires occasional moving of articles such as boxes, accounting records, laptop computer, and portable printer.
