Job summary

NC Department of Adult Correction is seeking a Correctional Programs Supervisor (S) at Marion Correctional Institution in Marion, North Carolina. This role supervises programs for offender rehabilitation, including educational and vocational initiatives, volunteer programs, religion, recreation, and counseling.

Reporting to the Correctional Programs Director, the incumbent will oversee program staff, collaborate with custody and external agencies, and coordinate offender releases while ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services or criminal justice field and one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Must be eligible for certification by the NC Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening; medical and psychological evaluations may be required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain programs to support offender rehabilitation and reintegration.
• Organize and coordinate volunteer opportunities for offenders.
• Supervise and provide guidance to program staff and volunteers to ensure effective program delivery.
