Job summary

State of Oklahoma’s Department of Corrections is seeking a Correctional Case Manager at Mabel Bassett Correctional Center. You will perform routine social casework in offender classification and assignment, and support re-entry efforts with clients and families.

Position involves coordinating with partners, preparing case histories, and advising offenders on resources, education and vocational training to aid successful community reintegration.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of vocational guidance and social adjustment principles.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Uses interview techniques and assessment instruments to determine security risks and programmatic needs.
• Reviews offender records to determine progress and classification.
• Advises offenders on personal problems, employment resources, and training needs.
• Delivers programs to assist re-entry into the community after release.
• Prepares reports such as parole summaries and presentence investigations.
• Develops offender transition plans in line with re-entry programs.
