Job summary

The Oklahoma Department of Corrections seeks a Corrections Case Manager to perform routine social casework in offender classification and re-entry planning. You will assess risks, prepare case histories, and coordinate program assignments for inmates within a correctional facility.

Level I–III roles involve developing transitional plans, advising on resources, and collaborating with community partners to support pre- and post-release services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus two years of correctional records management or social casework.
• Master’s degree may substitute for one year of required experience.

Responsibilities

• Use interview techniques and assessment instruments to determine security risks and programmatic needs.
• Prepare case history reports and recommend program assignments.
• Review offender records to determine progress or need for changes in classifications.
• Advise offenders on personal problems, employment resources, vocational skills, educational and training needs.
• Deliver programs to support successful re-entry into the community after release.
• Develop transitional/intervention plans and collaborate with community partners.
