Job summary

Responsibilities

• Uses interview techniques and assessment instruments to determine offenders’ security risks and program needs.
• Reviews offender records to determine progress and adjust classifications or assignments.
• Advises offenders on personal problems, employment resources, and reintegration needs.
• Delivers programs to aid successful re-entry into the community after release.
• Prepares reports such as parole summaries or presentence investigations.
• Develops offender transition plans and coordinates with community resources.
