Horan Hiring Solutions is seeking a capable Production Supervisor for 2nd and 3rd shifts in Elizabethtown, KY. The role focuses on leading multiple production lines in a high-volume Tier 1 automotive facility, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate will have strong supervision skills, experience with metal stamping or automotive structural components, and the ability to drive performance across shifts while maintaining safety and engagement with the team.

Qualifications

• Previous production supervision experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred, particularly within a Tier 1 supplier.
• Experience managing multiple production lines in a high-volume manufacturing facility.
• Background in metal stamping, heavy fabrication, or automotive structural components highly desirable.
• Previous experience working in a union manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold employees accountable.
• Understanding of production scheduling, manufacturing KPIs, and continuous improvement practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot production challenges and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be comfortable working second or third shift.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production operations across multiple manufacturing lines during second or third shift.
• Lead, train, and develop production employees to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved.
• Monitor production schedules, staffing levels, and equipment performance to meet customer demands.
• Identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures.
• Work closely with maintenance, quality, and engineering departments to address production challenges.
• Monitor production metrics, including efficiency, scrap, downtime, and overall equipment performance.
• Manage employee attendance, performance, scheduling, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Communicate production updates, operational concerns, and shift performance to plant leadership.
