Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions is seeking experienced Off-Shift Production Supervisors for a Tier 1 automotive facility in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. The role oversees second and third shift operations on multiple production lines, focusing on safety, quality, and productivity.

The ideal candidate has automotive manufacturing experience, strong leadership, and the ability to manage teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising production in a manufacturing environment.
• Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred, especially Tier 1.
• Experience managing multiple production lines in high-volume facility.
• Background in metal stamping, heavy fabrication, or automotive structural components desirable.
• Union environment experience is a plus.
• Strong leadership with ability to motivate, coach and hold employees accountable.
• Understanding of production scheduling, KPIs and continuous improvement practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and make quick decisions in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Must be comfortable working second or third shift.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production operations across multiple manufacturing lines during second or third shift.
• Lead, train, and develop production employees to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved.
• Monitor production schedules, staffing levels, and equipment performance to meet customer demands.
• Identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures.
• Work closely with maintenance, quality, and engineering departments to address production challenges.
• Monitor production metrics, including efficiency, scrap, downtime, and overall equipment performance.
• Manage employee attendance, performance, scheduling, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Communicate production updates, operational concerns, and shift performance to plant leadership.
