Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions seeks an Off-Shift Production Supervisor for a Tier 1 automotive facility in Elizabethtown, KY. You will oversee multiple lines on 2nd and 3rd shifts, drive safety, quality, and productivity, and coach a diverse team in a high-volume environment.

The ideal candidate has prior supervisory experience in automotive manufacturing, strong leadership, and a track record of improving line performance through teamwork and problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Previous production supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Automotive manufacturing experience with Tier 1 suppliers is strongly preferred.
• Experience managing multiple production lines in high-volume manufacturing.
• Background in metal stamping, heavy fabrication, or automotive structural components is desirable.
• Union manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Strong leadership to motivate, coach and hold employees accountable.
• Understanding of production scheduling, KPIs and continuous improvement.
• Ability to troubleshoot production challenges and make quick decisions in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be comfortable working second or third shift.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production operations across multiple lines during second or third shift.
• Lead, train, and develop production employees to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Monitor schedules, staffing, and equipment performance to meet customer demands.
• Identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, quality standards, and procedures.
• Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and engineering to address challenges.
• Track metrics: efficiency, scrap, downtime, OEE.
• Manage attendance, performance, scheduling, and disciplinary actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety and quality.
• Communicate updates and shift performance to plant leadership.
