Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions is seeking experienced Off-Shift Production Supervisors for a Tier 1 automotive facility in Elizabethtown, KY. The role requires supervising multiple production lines on the 2nd or 3rd shift, leading teams to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals.

Qualifications

• Previous production supervisory experience required.
• Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred, especially Tier 1.
• Experience managing multiple production lines in a high-volume facility.
• Background in metal stamping, heavy fabrication, or automotive structural components is desirable.
• Experience in a union manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Strong leadership and ability to coach and hold employees accountable.
• Understanding of production scheduling, KPIs, and continuous improvement practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot production challenges and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must be comfortable with second or third shift.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production operations across multiple lines during 2nd and 3rd shift.
• Lead, train, and develop production employees to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Monitor schedules, staffing levels, and equipment performance to meet customer demands.
• Identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, quality standards, and procedures.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and engineering to address challenges.
• Monitor metrics like efficiency, scrap, downtime, and OEE.
• Manage attendance, performance, scheduling, and disciplinary actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Communicate updates and shift performance to plant leadership.
