Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions is seeking experienced Off-Shift Production Supervisors for a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing facility in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. This role oversees second and third shifts, manages multiple production lines, and leads teams to safety, quality, and productivity goals.

The ideal candidate has a background in automotive manufacturing, strong leadership and problem-solving skills, and the ability to troubleshoot production challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior production supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred, especially within a Tier 1 supplier.
• Experience managing multiple production lines in a high-volume facility.
• Background in metal stamping, heavy fabrication, or automotive structural components is desirable.
• Union manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working second or third shift and ability to troubleshoot production challenges.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production operations across multiple lines during 2nd or 3rd shift.
• Lead, train, and develop production employees to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Monitor production schedules, staffing levels, and equipment performance to meet demand.
• Identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, quality standards, and procedures.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and engineering to address challenges.
• Monitor KPIs such as efficiency, scrap, downtime, and OEE.
• Manage attendance, performance, scheduling, and disciplinary actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Communicate production updates and shift performance to plant leadership.
