Job summary

The Shepherd Chemical Company is seeking an experienced Supervisor Manufacturing Off-Shift in Norwood, Ohio. This role oversees off-shift production, maintenance, and quality control, serving as a key link between off- and first-shift leadership to ensure safe, compliant operations.

The successful candidate will guide process improvements, support 5S and housekeeping initiatives, and monitor equipment issues to prevent releases. Strong safety culture and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with chemical process safety, environmental compliance, and Responsible Care requirements.
• Demonstrated computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to supervise, coach, and lead production, maintenance, and quality control teams.

Responsibilities

• Communicate production plans and priorities to the off-shift team and align with plant needs.
• Coordinate daily off-shift work across production, maintenance, and quality control.
• Coordinate with first-shift leadership on issues and follow-up needs identified off-shift.
• Provide safety, Responsible Care, and performance leadership through group training and coaching.
• Engage off-shift personnel in continuous improvement and process enhancements.
