Job summary

Shearer’s Foods in Massillon, OH, is seeking an Operations Supervisor for 12-hour night shifts. You will lead plant floor teams, drive safety, quality, and productivity within a Continuous Improvement and Lean environment.

Responsibilities include directing activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining equipment and safety, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet throughput and cost targets.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years of experience in a production management or supervision role, preferably in the food processing industry.
• Strong leadership capabilities to help take our team to the next level.

Responsibilities

• Directs employees and plant floor activities to achieve a consistent and high-quality product.
• Enforces safety and sanitation rules and principles to support a safe workplace.
• Ensures compliance with Federal, State and Company regulatory requirements.
• Maintains positive employee relations, including participating in evaluation and training of hourly personnel.
• Tracks employees’ work performance and attendance to ensure performance metrics are met.
• Utilizes metrics/data to evaluate and improve work processes, and maintain line related system and regulatory documentation.
• Collaborate with other supervisors and cross-functional teams to coordinate operations.
• Plans and establishes work schedules.
