Sun Chemical in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a team of hourly plant workers on a 4 on/4 off nights schedule. You will train, plan, schedule, and direct the work to meet safety, quality, and cost targets.

The role requires 5+ years of supervisory experience in production, preferably in a union and chemical processing setting, with strong analytical and leadership abilities. ISO practices, data interpretation, and continuous improvement mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience supervising hourly production areas, preferably in a union environment and chemical processing.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Influential leadership with collaboration and situational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret data.
• Proficient with problem-solving tools (RCA, 5 Whys, FMEA).
• Familiar with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Associate degree or equivalent in engineering or mechanical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Optimize production results on assigned shifts through training and instruction to operators.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports per site management.
• Ensure safety and housekeeping compliance and handle employee discipline as needed.
• Support budget preparation and expense control for the department.
• Lead monthly safety meetings and incident reporting, including environment records.
