Job summary

Allison Transmission is seeking an Off-Highway Rapid Response Service Engineer to deliver advanced technical support to distributors, dealers and OEMs in North America, with global responsibility. You will develop service bulletins, diagnostic procedures, and publications to improve technician efficiency and reduce downtime.

The role involves on-site field support for major issues, leading investigations, and coordinating with the Indianapolis Product Engineering team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical field; 3+ years experience acceptable.
• Strong technical knowledge with heavy‑duty vehicles or transmissions preferred.
• Experience with failure mode analysis and root cause investigations.

Responsibilities

• Manage escalated North America technical support cases with prompt resolutions.
• Collaborate with training lab, Product Engineering, and other teams; use prototype hardware and tools.
• Lead root cause investigations and drive corrective actions with CPIT.
• Update best practices with North America Off-Highway customers to improve reliability.
• Provide field on-site support for major issues and warranty reviews as needed.
• Create and issue technical bulletins and service publications.
