Job summary

Martin Marietta is hiring an Off Highway Haul Truck Driver for Kannapolis Quarry in China Grove, NC. The ideal candidate is safety conscious, dependable and motivated to operate haul trucks loaded with rock, perform daily inspections, and assist with loader work as needed.

You will follow MSHA safety rules, conduct pre-shift checks, perform minor maintenance, and help train coworkers. Shift is 7 AM to 5 PM, weekends as necessary, with opportunities to participate in plant safety programs.

Qualifications

• Required high school diploma or GED.
• Experience with mobile equipment is preferred.
• Six months' experience as haul truck driver or similar is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate haul trucks loaded with rock within quarry guidelines.
• Perform daily pre-shift inspections and minor maintenance on equipment.
• Assist in loader production and breakdown surge piles as needed.
• Follow MSHA safety rules and plant safety programs.
• Maintain good housekeeping of equipment and work areas.
• Train co-workers and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
