Job summary

Martin Marietta in South Carolina is seeking an Off Highway Haul Truck Driver to safely operate haul trucks loaded with rock within the quarry. The role includes daily pre-shift checks, minor maintenance, and assisting with loader operations to maintain production flow.

Typical hours are 5:00 am to 4:00 pm with weekends and overtime as needed. A High School Diploma or GED and related equipment experience are preferred; six months trucking experience is favored.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Experience with mobile equipment in a quarry or related setting preferred.
• Six months of haul truck driving or related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate haul trucks in accordance with company guidelines and safety standards.
• Participate in safety inspections and follow MSHA rules and regulations.
• Aid loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintaining product piles as needed.
• Conduct pre-shift safety inspections and report repairs to supervision.
• Perform preventative maintenance and housekeeping of equipment.
• Operate other quarry equipment such as pit and yard loaders when needed.
• Assist in training co-workers as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
