Job summary

Interstate Power Systems in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking Off Highway Equipment Mechanic/Technicians of all skill levels to diagnose, repair and maintain heavy duty diesel vehicles and equipment such as trucks, buses, excavators, loaders and dozers.

Ideal candidates will have strong mechanical aptitude, solid diagnostic skills, a good work ethic and a positive attitude. CDL is a plus; must be able to lift and work physically.

Diesel MechanicTechnician Job Duties

• Responsible for repairing maintaining diesel engines and diesel components used in various vehicles and diesel equipment
• Accurately and efficiently diagnose complex diesel engine conditions and make necessary repairs
• Communicate effectively with peers foreman and service team regarding those repairs
• Quality control work is performed to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
• Keep paperwork updated and handed in upon completion
• Meet requirements for certifications
• Operate equipment to diagnose problems inspect equipment for defects
• Repair and maintain heavy equipment such as excavators loaders dozer etc Caterpillar Komatsu and Liebherr
• Minimal welding
• Must be physically able to lift and work with no restrictions

Diesel MechanicTechnician Requirements

• Valid Drivers license
• Bonus compensation for CDL holders
• Must possess a good work ethic a positive attitude and be reliable
• Experience with other diesel engine platforms such as Cummins CAT & International are a plus
• Other mechanical skills desired but not essentialHydraulics
• Brakes & Suspension
• Manual Transmissions
• Drive Train and Automatic Transmissions
