Job summary

Interstate Power Systems in Lincoln, NE is seeking Off Highway Equipment Mechanics/Technicians of all skill levels. Pay range is $25.00-$42.00/hour DOE, with duties covering diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty diesel equipment such as excavators and loaders.

Ideal candidates have strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills, plus experience with Caterpillar, Komatsu, Liebherr, and related equipment. CDL bonus is available and benefits are offered.

Interstate Power Systems is looking for a Off Highway Equipment Mechanic/Technician(s) of all skill levels for our Lincoln Nebraska location.

Diesel Technician Pay Range: $25.00-$42.00/hour D.O.E.

We are currently seeking Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Technician(s) to join our team who are specializing in Caterpillar, Komatsu, Liebherr, Excavators, Loaders, Dozers and more! Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty diesel vehicles and equipment, such as trucks, buses, construction machinery, and agricultural equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent diagnostic skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. We are offering highly competitive wages!

Diesel Mechanic/Technician Job Duties

  • Responsible for repairing, maintaining diesel engines and diesel components used in various vehicles and diesel equipment.
  • Accurately and efficiently diagnose complex diesel engine conditions and make necessary repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with peers, foreman, and service team regarding those repairs.
  • Quality control work is performed to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Keep paperwork updated and handed in upon completion.
  • Meet requirements for certifications.
  • Operate equipment to diagnose problems, inspect equipment for defects.
  • Repair and maintain heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozer etc. Caterpillar, Komatsu and Liebherr
  • Minimal welding
  • Valid Driver's license (Bonus compensation for CDL holders)
  • Must possess a good work ethic, a positive attitude, and be reliable.
  • Experience with other diesel engine platforms such as Cummins, CAT, & International are a plus.
  • Other mechanical skills desired but not essential: Hydraulics, Brakes & Suspension, Manual Transmissions, Drive Train, and Automatic Transmissions.
  • This is an atmosphere that is driven by customer satisfaction, accuracy of diagnostics, and efficient repairs.
  • Must be physically able to lift and work with no restrictions.
  • Technical degree or certification a plus.
  • MSHA
  • A knowledge of construction equipment maintenance, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, diesel, gasoline and record keeping
