Qualifications

• Graduate of health vocational program such as patient access, medical assistance, medical billing and insurance or medical general.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and perform admissions/registrations according to policy and regulatory requirements.
• Obtain inpatient bed assignments and process admissions incl. banding and forms.
• Pre-admit all scheduled inpatient, outpatients and ambulatory patients for smooth admissions/registrations.
• Obtain direct admit information and enter reservation in computer system to notify others.
• Complete interviews to obtain demographic, insurance and third-party information; verify eligibility and determine financial assistance needs.
