Job summary

Hamilton Company seeks a seasoned sales professional to drive the promotion and sale of automated liquid handling components to OEM clients in the Western Region. You will lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, building long-term OEM relationships and forecasting growth.

Collaborating with product management, technical support, and marketing, you will implement regional plans, develop new accounts, demonstrate instruments in labs, and coordinate seminars to accelerate adoption

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in sciences or engineering; MBA preferred
  • Sales experience in liquid management component sales to OEM and integrator (design) companies preferred
  • Ability to present and articulate ideas to C-Suite, R&D, and other internal and external personnel

Responsibilities

  • Promote and manage sales of Hamilton Company automated liquid handling components to OEM clients in the Western Region
  • Achieve forecast sales goals and cultivate long-term relationships with strategic OEM accounts
  • Manage the full sales process, including new sales development, forecasting, key account management, contract negotiation, and demand scheduling
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Product Management, Technical Support, Marketing, engineering, applications, and manufacturing teams
  • Develop and implement the regional sales plan to achieve long-term sales and market growth goals
  • Develop new accounts and manage large strategic accounts
  • Promote and demonstrate instruments in customer laboratories and provide follow-up support
  • Coordinate customer seminars and demonstrations, applications development, and presale/post-sale support
  • Prospect for new business through leads, networking, trade shows, research, and cold calling
  • Maintain account correspondence and records in HubSpot CRM
  • Manage instrument lifecycles and identify second-generation opportunities
  • Analyze product pricing, develop volume discount schedules, and make pricing recommendations
  • Write sales proposals and quotations
  • Prepare, negotiate, and conclude long-term OEM supply and service contracts
  • Define application needs and product functionality with cross-functional teams
  • Analyze diagnostic and automation market needs and identify key market players
  • Assist with defining and developing new products for Lab Products OEM markets
  • Attend trade shows, regional seminars, and company functions
  • Lead OEM customer automation solution development and monitor order progress
  • Land new business, expand existing customer opportunities, and renew agreements and contracts
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job description

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited not-for-profit institution required, preferably in the sciences or engineering

  • MBA preferred

  • Sales experience in liquid management component sales to OEM and integrator (design) companies required

  • Ability to present and articulate ideas to C-Suite, R&D, and other internal and external personnel

  • Excellent organization, verbal communication, and written communication skills

  • Good working knowledge of computer applications, including MS Office Suite

  • Experience using HubSpot CRM to manage leads, opportunities, and account activities

  • Experience with ShowPad, Power BI, and D-365 business reporting tools

  • Ability to travel nationally and potentially internationally

  • Valid driver's license in state of residence

  • Personal, reliable transportation with valid registration and insurance

  • Minimum of five years relevant sales and/or marketing experience preferred

  • Knowledge of automated laboratory equipment preferred


Demonstrates expertise in managing sales processes for automated liquid handling components, including account management, contract negotiation, and market analysis. Proven ability to develop strategic relationships with OEM clients and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
